PROFILE
Visualize the gold-tinged orange-pink classic to onion skin, then immediately put it aside, since the nose displays entirely different fragrances—smooth, luscious peach, tangy wild strawberry, crisp mandarin orange, and a hint of elderflower blossoms. As an effective foil to this delicately seductive bouquet, a full-volumed palate offers a richly-fruited progression that begins in a succulent minor key then builds to a near-endless finish. Valtènesi Chiaretto is at its best with stylish dishes with a light touch unburdened by too many contrasts.
