GRAPE VARIETIES: Rebo.
DESCRIPTION: A deep red ruby color. Scents of ripe red fruits, with hints of spices.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Cold cuts, white meats, roasts and mature cheeses.
YIELD PER HECTARE: 60 hl
HARVEST: Late September and early October with fully ripe grapes.
VINIFICATION: Maceration and fermentation by indigenous yeasts for 14 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Maturation in large Slavonian oak barrels for approximately 24 months. The wine then spends a period in stainlees steel and in bottle prior to release.

This wine is 100% from the rebo grape variety, created about 100 years ago by a cross between teroldego and merlot; the former gifts the wine with its refined fragrances, the latter with its impressive structure, while the synergy of both is exhibited in Zerdí’s deep purple-garnet hue. Maturation in oak hones the wine without blunting its fruit, which is gloriously in evidence on a complex nose dense with blackpepper and wormwood. Rich, warm, and multi-layered
in the mouth, it boasts well-integrated, fine-grained tannins. It will be at its superb best with hearty, full-flavoured
dishes.
