Profile
Groppello, most classic red grape of the Bresciana Area of Lake Garda, Yields wines of streightforward, uncompromised elegance. Even its appearance, a ruby, near-cherry red, conveys its refined, never pushy character, qualities underscored by its smooth, supple fragrances of cherry and raspberry flanked by subtle spice notes of cinnamon The palate is lively , laden with delicious, fresh-picked fruit, which infuses the progression through to a tangy, vivacious finish. Serving groppello at 15oc will heighten its qualities, as will pairing it with a wide range of dishes, including fish.
